Published Work

Selected publications and works in progress that reflect my focus on MTSS, SEL Tier 3 supports, special education transition, and systems-level student support. This section includes completed pieces as well as research and manuscripts currently in development, highlighting how I translate practice-based work into scholarship and shareable models for the broader education community.

The purpose of this phenomenological study was to identify and describe the expectations of parents of developmentally delayed special education needs (SEN) high school children regarding their children’s transition out of independent studies charter high schools. In addition, it was the purpose of this study to identify how parents perceived independent studies charter high school schools addressed the needs of their SEN children during the transition process.

This 6-year longitudinal study examines the growth and impact of our SEL Tier 3 counseling program using de-identified, aggregated internal data. Across six school years, I analyzed patterns in referrals, participation, presenting concerns, and outcomes to understand who we are serving, how needs are changing over time, and where our systems are working—or need to be strengthened. The study informs ongoing program design, resource allocation, and MTSS alignment, and is currently being developed into a formal paper for presentation and publication.
